Reiki
Introduction
Reiki is an ancient form of hands on healing rediscovered in ancient Tibetan Buddhist texts by a Japanese minister in the late 19th Century. Pronounced “ray-kee”, the term is Japanese for “universal life force energy”. Rei means universal, transcendental spirit/mysterious power and essence. Ki means vital life force energy and is the equivalent of Chinese chi or Indian prana. It is an energy that can help us on all levels, physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. Reiki healing enhances other forms of treatment, therapy, medicine or natural remedy.
How can Reiki help me?
Reiki is very empowering. It is a powerful aid to personal growth and healing but if someone does not want to be healed, either consciously or subconsciously, the energy may not show an immediate physical result. It is suitable for people of all ages and is safe and natural and adapts to the natural needs of the recipient. It balances the organs, glands and their bodily functions from an energetic perspective and energetically can strengthen the immune system and promote natural self-healing. Many people also use it to help with pain relief and clearing toxins. Because Reiki works on an energetic level it is also known to strengthen intuition, relax or reduce stress and cleanse and balance the auras leaving you feeling calm, refreshed and relaxed.
Treatment session
The sessions can last between 30 minutes and one hour, depending on how much Reiki is given intuitively. The treatment is relaxing and the energy given is always positive with unconditional love and compassion drawn from the universal source, not from the practitioner. Reiki practitioners cannot claim to heal, they only give their permission to be used as channels for the Reiki energy and act as a kind of conduit.
What is distance Reiki healing?
Because Reiki works on the energetic levels, it can also be sent at a distance. The Reiki is still received on the energetic bodies of the recipient and can still promote wonderful healing, cleansing and relaxation. Very useful if you live at a distance from the practitioner or have no available time for a treatment in person.
Reiki can also be used to enhance meetings, for protection (particularly for long journeys, for example) and for cleansing homes of any negative energy.
Costs for treatment
Reiki treatment in person is £35 per session (£40 at Westbourne).
Distance Reiki treatment is £15 per session.
Mobile sessions are available subject to extra cost for travel.
