EFT Tapping Diagram

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) Tapping Diagram and sequence.



Treatment Sequence:

Karate Chop or Sore Spot:    tap on karate chop (or rub sore point) whilst saying main phrase out loud three times.

Tapping Sequence:

Whilst saying the reminder phrase, tap on the following points.  It does not matter which side of the face or body you tap on or even if you change sides midway.  Choose a pressure which is comfortable for you whilst enough to stimulate the meridian points.  Use 2 or 3 fingers to ensure the vibration reaches the meridian point.

Top of Head (between crown and third eye):  use 3 or 4 fingers and tap.

Third Eye:  use 2 fingers and tap

Front of Eyebrow:  use 2 fingers and tap at beginning of eyebrow.

Corner of Eye:  to the side of the corner of the bone in the eye where it dips.  Use 2 fingers.

Under Eye:  directly underneath the centre of the eye on the bone only.  Use 2 fingers.

Under Nose:  between the nose and the upper lip.  Use 2 or 3 fingers.

Chin:  in the middle of the chin.  Use 2 or 3 fingers.

Collar Bone:  from the V in the centre, move along 2 cm and down 1/2 cm and tap using 4 fingers on the collar bone.

Under Arm:  in line with a mans nipple, under the armpit and going towards the back, there is a sensitive area.  Use 3 or 4 fingers to tap here.  Not the most comfortable of positions so place the arm of the armpit on the head, which makes it a fraction more comfortable as you tap.

Side of Thumbnail:  use 2 or 3 fingers to tap the outside edge of the thumbnail.

Side of Forefinger Nail:  use 2 or 3 fingers to tap the outside edge of the forefinger nail.

Side of Middle Finger Nail:  use 2 or 3 fingers to tap the outside edge of the middle fingernail.

Side of Little Finger:  use 2 or 3 fingers to tap the inside edge of the little fingernail.

Karate Chop:  use 3 or 4 fingers to tap the karate chop.

Gamut Point:  situated between the 4th and 5th bones on the upper part of the hand, in the middle, use 3 fingers to tap.

Additional Sequence:

Whilst tapping on the gamut point, stop saying the reminder phrase and instead keep your head very straight whilst looking ahead of you (still tapping) and move your eyes hard down left, hard down right, roll your eyes clockwise, roll your eyes anti-clockwise, blink twice, hum a tune quickly (e.g. Happy Birthday if often used), count up to 10 really quickly, hum a tune again, take a deep breath in and stop tapping and have a drink of water or distract yourself for a moment.

That is the end of one round of EFT.  There are shortened versions of this, as appropriate, and it is advisable to trust the practitioner at all times.
